I'd throw on Fly Around My Pretty Little Miss, I just love that song, Birthday (junior boys) ( my gf loved it), Southtown Girls (hold steady), I threw on "I am not my hair" by Akon because my girl loved her long hair and had just chopped it off (throw on some real personal stuff, ya know, think about it), belle and sebastian's "White Collar Boy" is what I started it off with (you don't wanna throw on more than two songs by the same band generally, unless they sound very different), and Jeff Magnum's cover of Phil Spector's "I love how you love me" (if it's appropriate).
Hope that helps. Make it interesting, make her think if she can handle it.
A few more suggestions.. "hey there delilah" Plain White T's "you are the moon" the hush sound "I want to be buried in your backyard" nightmare of you "your guardian angel" the red jumpsuit apparatus
Love at first sight - XTC Orchids - Califone Will anything Happen? - Blondie Hounds of Love - Kate Bush (I like it much better than the Futureheads version) Two can win - J Dilla Tracks of My Tears - Smokey Robinson and the Miracles Moving in your sleep - the dbs When You're Near Me I have Difficulty - XTC

dismemberment plan's "the city" would be a great one (if it's about a girl....it's a little ambiguous).
Personally I would go with 'what do you want me to say.' It's a little on the noisy side, but a gf who doesn't rock out every now and again isn't worth her salt.
Ummm...The Magic Numbers, anyone? Pretty much every song is a love song. I think that may be a title of one of the songs, in fact, "Every song is a love song".

You absolutely must put "Sweet Avenue" by Jets To Brazil on any indie rock lovebird mix. It has a great intimate folksy vibe and gorgeous pictorial lyrics. Swoon baby swoon

If She Wants Me - Belle and Sebastian
Good list, definitely, and you could use a ton of Belle and Sebastian songs honestly. They have a ton of really good, sweet love songs. Just don't use too many, you don't want your girl to think you're a complete wuss. (or your guy, for that matter. no one likes someone who's too sappy.)
