Yeah, but my second listen straight through was probably more boring than the first one. As I said elsewhere, I must be turning into a curmudgeon. (I don't believe that though.)

"Apartment Story" is the stand-out track for me. Damn, though - solid album all the way through, except for maybe "Racing Like A Pro".

Finally got this album. It's good, but I'm not saying it's one of my top 5 of the year.

I actually enjoy "Racing Like A Pro" quite a bit. Why do you consider it to be a weaker song?

It takes the energy down a little too low, and the chorus is weak. Still, it's not bad per se, just not as good as the rest of the album.

Oh, my. I relistened to it today, and ended up listening to it three times through. It's amazing. It *might* even top Hissing Fauna or Neon Bible..?

I actually think my favorite track on the album is 'Guest Room,' but nobody else has mentioned it...

I really like this album. But it does sound like the bastard child of an unholy alliance between Death Cab for Cutie and Crash Test Dummies.

This is the second time I've heard Tindersticks mentioned alongside The National. All I know is that they had a wonderfully atmospheric song at the end of last week's Sopranos. Could you say a little more about them, sk? I'm intrigued. (although National is more Joy Division II if anything...)
