I've always wondered which sites or magazines people really, truly trust to rate music.
Like, personally I love allmusic and sometimes Metacritic, depending on how many reviews they're calculating.
I find myself on Pitchfork everyday, but that's usually just to find new music and to read their reviews which 94% of the time have nothing to do with the album. Though I will agree that sometimes, very rarely, are their ratings anywhere close to what the album deserves. And Rolling Stone completely blows. You Forgot it In People and the Moon and Antarctica both only got three out of five stars.
So, who do you trust?

i find that tinymixtapes has some great reviews for different styles of music. cokemachineglow is pretty good as well. metacritic gives you the music as percieved by multiple reviewers but I find that I'd rather go by a respected source rather than a combined score. dustedmagazine.com is another favorite of mine. as for magazines, none that ive read are legit music review resources (spin, blender, nme, uncut etc.).

Onion AV Club is pretty solid, and I read Pitchfork pretty regularly (though I take them with a grain of salt - they've become better over the years but I still remember that Kid A review). Also, I pay attention to the opinions of the folks on this board.
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.
