Wait... is this already out? Never even heard word one about it.

don't know if it's officially out. don't think so, but it leaked ages ago and I LOVE it!

the first (I think) single out of it - "Beginning of the Twist" may be their best song ever.

The last Futureheads leak I dl'ed (their debut) was unmastered... which I wound up liking a hell of a lot more than the mastered version.

But, looks like there's been a legit scene rip for almost a month now; I can't believe I never even heard it had been released*

I'm not meaning to gloss over everything that's been said but it's too much to read right now.

The Futureheads are really one of my favorites. In that whole Gang of Four/Wire resurgence thing (I don't really hear XTC, that ubiquitous comparison befuddles me), they're pretty much number one in my mind - but that depends mostly on their INTERstellar first album, less on their disappointing follow-ups. I'm really trying to like World, but so far it seems like another step down.

First record - utterly awesome. Kate Bush cover - simply great. Harmonies, bristly and lacerating guitars and instrumental interplay, exceptional sense of melody. Second album the same but less so, and this third record...eesh. I don't know. I'm really hoping it will grow on me.
