Any fans of Enon, or John Schmersal's older project Brainiac?
Does anyone prefer new Enon over old Enon or vice versa?
What do you think of them live?

I saw them live last year and loved it, although I wish they would have played longer! I like their stage asthetic, they've all got great presence and I like seeing John and Toko switch instruments and share the microphone. Their drummer replicates the dance beats from Enon's records pretty much right-on. They're a cool pop band that keeps a good variety of sounds and just seem like they really have a good time. My favorite release by them would have to be "High Society".

Brainiac is basically better than Enon, although i think both bands are incredible. I prefer "middle Enon", i guess, as i believe High Society is the best of their albums.

i almost saw them live once with the d-plan (hell of a bill!), but missed it somehow.

this song and "vincent come on down" are two of the best songs ever, and have in thepast sustained my musical needs for weeks at a time.

Yes, "Nothing Ever Changes" is absolutely perfect, as is "Hot Seat Can't Sit Down".

Ah Braniac's demise is rather tragic though. They would have made even greater stuff.

Most underappreciated Enon song:

"Come Into" from Believo!

I just picked up the new Enon record, Grass Geysers . . . Carbon Clouds and I am really digging it. It is a little less abrasive than past Enon efforts, but a very solid effort nonetheless. At 12 songs in 35 minutes, there is nary a wasted note on this disc!

Grass Geysers is really good. A lot more straightforward...for Enon, but rocking pretty hard, which is what I really wanted to hear from them this time out. Their last one was a little too kick back.
