Seriously, if FB would have kept the 'Pixies' name and put those first two records out, they would be held in much higher regard. Hell, I remember being skeptical of those records when they came out. I didn't buy either of the first two until TotY came out and some of my friends were raving about it.

What if Obama gets into White House and turns out to be some crazy muslim terrorist? What do we do then? We'll be pretty screwed. It could happen." -- by some fucking nutjob

I"m still not a big fan of Frank's first solo release. At the time, I was much more into Kim Deal's stuff with the Breeders. Last Splash was a favorite of mine in college.

Me too, and I absolutely loved Pod. After revisiting that first FB album last week, I feel I grossly underestimated it. I think it's at leas as good as Trompe Le Monde and I like it better than Bossanova, which is still my least favorite Pixies album.

I've recently picked up a couple more of Frank's solo stuff, including Frank Black and Bluefinger. Both of them are quite good. I'm more and more impressed with Charles everytime I hear one of his albums. I'm totally unfamiliar with Frank's work with The Catholics. Where's a good place to start? Dog in the Sand?
I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.
