it sounds like their might be a new Wrens album out by the end of the year, so for any interested parties, here's a thread to talk about the Wrens. I "discovered" The Meadowlands a few months ago, and since then its cemented itself as one of the best records of the decade. This might be derivative of the Interview thread, but I figured this would be more like an appreciation thread. Anyways, I love the Wrens, and anybody who likes the The Meadowlands needs to get their second album Secauscus. Its been out of print for a while, but it got reissued about a year ago. It's not as good The Meadowlands, but Secaucus still deserves more credit than it gets.

Great band, they've been promising a new album for over a year now.. I think they are having record company issues. So yeah hopefully before the end of this year (at least).

Actually, I don't think they are having any issues. They've been touring on weekends for a while, I think they're all just busy.

Nevertheless, I think they're recording now. It's really exciting. Both The Meadowlands and Secaucus are excellent. I'm anxious to hear what they'll sound like this time, and if it's as good as The Meadowlands, it will certainly be my #1 album this year.
