I re-listened to Everything All of the Time the other day after absorbing myself in the new one over the past 2 weeks, and I think its definitely aged well. The new one has added to my appreciation of their debut perhaps. Another thing that was strange is I sang along with practically every word after not hearing it in at least a year.

And I agree with the love of "Monsters."

If I am lost its only for a little while....

Reading some of the recent comments makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Everything about the latest album is "OK". It couldn't be more "OK" if it sat down the back of the class placidly.

Everything All The Time is one of the best albums of the decade. Trying to put the latest effort above that is nuts.

I do like listening to the latest one all the same...

Everything All The Time can be pretty blah, too. I get the feeling that the "great" album from these guys is still ahead of them. I like both of these albums but neither is a truly great album.

Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

"No One's Gonna Love You" is a great track. There's nothing just OK about that song. I love "Ode to LRC" as well. The middle slower section is great. Really the whole album I like a lot. Oh well, to each their own.

Here's how I feel about Band of Horses. I prefer just about any song My Morning Jacket has ever done over every song Band of Horses has ever done. Am I saying BoH is a poor man's MMJ? No - a very poor man.

im looking for pretty much the most uninspired/unoriginal brutal and/or slam death. with little or no variation in vocals. stuff like disgorge(us) and condemned.

I agree with this statement. Both albums are a nice pleasant listen, but I never feel compelled to play either of them on a whim. "Everything All the Time" is a bit more hit and miss while "Cease to Begin" is more steady all the way through, but I feel like there's something lurking beneath the surface that could make BoH great.

Actually, I feel the same way about MMJ's last two albums. "It Still Moves" had some truly classic tracks ("Mahgeetah", "Golden", "One Big Holiday", etc.) and some truly tedious tracks while "Z" was a bit more consistent yet still overall only very good. I look forward to seeing what each band can do with their next efforts.
