i'm creating a winter mixtape and I need some help in gathering songs. I'm looking for less mainstream artists and trying to stick with a twee pop/ pure saccharine melodies but I am open to suggestions. My list so far includes.

The Evangelicals - The Last Christmas On Earth
Fireflies - Xmas Song
The Narrow Escapes - And If Christmas Never Came
The Flaming Lips - Christmas at the Zoo
Daniel Johnston - Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
The Dismemberment Plan - This Christmas
Queen - A Winters Tale
Sufjan Stevens - That was the Worst Christmas Ever!
Death Cab for Cutie - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Asobi Seksu - Merry Christmas (I Dont Want to Fight Tonight)
Low - Just like Christmas

Thank you!

Check out:

Belle & Sebastian- Peel Session Christmas Party
Wild Billy Childish & The Musicians of the British Empire- Christmas 1979 (garage rock-ish stuff)
VA- Christmas In Stereo (a bunch of Elephant 6 bands doing christmas songs)
Parenthetical Girls- A Parenthetical Girls Family Christmas (experimental)

The B&S and Christmas In Stereo are the only ones that meet your jangly pop request though.

It's an older song, but Big Star's "Jesus Christ" might fit your mix. It's not officially a Christmas tune, but it's refrain of "Jesus Christ was born today, Jesus Christ was born" fits the theme. And it's jangly.

thank you for the suggestions so far, however could users stick to song suggestions instead of album listings, just to make it easier on me.

I will also be updating the first post with new songs as the days go by.

Gordon Lightfoot - "Song for A Winter's Night"

This is one of my favorite non-traditional Christmas songs.

Sufjan Stevens - "That Was the Worst Christmas Ever!"

Easily the best song from his Christmas EP's.

I can't really think of any others right now.

I chose to give album recs because
a) I don't just listen to tracks (even my mixes I make function as an album)

b) It gives you more to go with, rather than completely subjecting you to my taste

Edited to be less of a douche.

I don’t really know if it fits your bill but either way, one of the best Christmas songs of all time is John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War is Over)”.

A good song that was just released this year (and featured on iTunes) is "Carol of the Bells" from the Bird and the Bee. It's a great cover, and I think would fit in well with your list.
