"Yo, Pavement, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish, but Rage Against The Machine had one of the best reunion shows of all time...of all time!"

Ok, but seriously. All I know is when I saw that this morning, it was like Christmas in fucking September.

I fully expect (hope?) that the official "reunion show" ends up being a headlining gig at Coachella, kicking off the reunion tour. We shall see.

According to P4k, it's only for a benefit concert on September 21, 2010 in Central Park. Sorry to ruin your Christmas in fucking September.

But maybe, just maybe, the reunion concert will spark a reunion tour. Then that reunion tour will spark a new album. Then, I'll wake up and realize it was all but a dream...

I know that, but I still think that a one-off seems really...anti-climactic? I'm just hoping that this is a sign that a full-on reunion tour is in the works. And I know I wasn't there in 1999 when they played that infamously bad show where Malkmus couldn't (wouldn't?) sing, but Pavement probably owe Coachella. So I'm praying.

I hope this ends up being more than a one-off, because I've never really enjoyed NYC. It's too busy for me. I'm such a lame midwesterner.

I am, however, totally going if that's the only performance.

it would be exciting, but not as much as an Olivia Tremor Control reunion. ELEPHANT 6 BABY.

Nobody cares, doc.

Anyways, it's official, they ARE doing a whole tour, but no dates have been announced outside of the aformentioned Central Park show.

I do, I don't like how you posted a comment about a band that has nothing to do with this thread. This is about Pavement.

But in all honesty, I meant no offense crob. I had just heard of the possible OTC and Pavement reunion at the same time.

I really hope I can see them when they play here. I assume I will be broke at the time but I might not get another chance.
