I'd read a good review of the new Growing in WIRE but when I listened to it I was severely disappointed. It's as if they're trying to do something interesting but instead it comes out sounding like Black Dice leftovers. It came out sounds just like one of the older Growing albums, Color Wheel. Growing does nothing but disappoint me. When I saw them live a year or so ago they lacked any power whatsoever. Personally I think if you're going to see music like that played live it needs to either be far more interesting or at least have some volume/heaviness. To me, those guys are one of the reasons why people say drone is extremely boring. That's just one opinion though, I'm sure they have their fans...

I like Color Wheel a lot, so I'll probably still give this album a few spins sometime in the near future. Also I was checking out Ipecac's website recently and noticed they are putting out a new Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore album soon. I'm pretty excited about this as "Maximum Black" off of Black Earth is one of my favorite songs ever.

Just got that Sun Araw EP, Boat Trip, on vinyl. Had to go to a friend's place to hear it, as I don't have a record player anymore. Really enjoyed it. Has anyone heard Sun Araw's album The Phynx or the new one Beach Head?

I posted a new Millipede song downloadable for free from the Myspace page. Sorry, I normally try not to pimp myself out but I thought you guys might be interested. It's called Kakariko Village in keeping with the Zelda theme....
