I've heard it and I like it but I don't know quite how much. I bought it the day it came out and I have had it in steady rotation since then. However, some parts are too repetive for me and there isn't much variety. I am still listening though.

I love the tracks on their own but I just dislike going from track to track. It just didn't work for me when listening to it as a whole.

I'm the exact opposite. I couldn't imagine just listening to a track, but I like the album a lot as a whole.

But, then again, there are very few tracks that I'll listen to on their own.

not terrible, but nothing special. worth listening too if you are a classic rock fan.

I'd say it goes way past "classic rock", but ok...

Define "Classic rock" for me because that spans a vast area of bands.

I'd say I hear as many derivative guitar lines as any other Stoner Rock-ish album, but I'd say it leans more to prog in a lot of places than anything.

Edit: It's been as long as about 3 weeks since I last listened to this album and now I think I may be in love with it. I remember liking it previously, but now I've got just the right amount of alcohol in my system to jam out to it.

I've been trying to like Black Mountain but for some reason i just can't get into them. I really didn't like their debut and i thought i would love "In the Future" after listening to it the first time but now i just feel like it's boring. Most of the guitar lines are just two notes, no real riffs or anything. And that womans vibrato, while being slightly interesting, is WAY overdone. Just my opinion though.

Well, we'll see how they translate live.

They're in Dallas tonight, I really wanted to go but I have $4 to my name currently. I posted on the last.fm event for the show saying something along the lines of "Does anyone wanna donate to my "I'm too poor to afford going to this show but I really want to" fund? I love you."

I got a response back from a kid I know from several other sites telling me that he's going and he wouldn't mind paying for my ticket if I go.

TIGHT. Way to restore a little faith in humanity.

And Black Mountain kicked ass live. They were billed as headlining, but it turned out they came on second with Dead Meadow coming on last. I felt bad for Dead Meadow because, although they played a good set, they couldn't follow up Black Mountain's energy. I was exhausted after they came on.

And I wound up having a good time with the kid (his name is Stafa) and his friends. Yay!

It does sound a bit like classic rock; which is okay by me.
