My friend recommended this DFA band to me the other day. It sounds like Troggs drums and a baritone guitar with shouted-ish vocals. I like it. Somebody may have mentioned it before?
I liked it a lot when I first listened to it, shelved it for a while, went back to it the other day and was not nearly as impressed. I got pretty bored with it.
But it is definitely an album that you have to be in the appropriate mood to listen to.
The problem with this album is that there's so little going on, repeated listens don't really change a whole lot. If you don't like it from the get-go, you're probably not going to.
