I'd really like to give this a listen (I've downloaded Intervention from itunes, but that's all I've heard). I can safely say Funeral is one of my top 10 albums of all time, and although I intended to just wait until the release date like I normally do (it's not as though I have no new music to listen to at the moment), you're all killing me here !!Could someone please let me know where I can download the album? I've already pre-ordered, I swear!! In fact, if it's half as good as Funeral, I'll likely end up once again buying a copy for everybody I know.
This is a very good album. I liked it better than Funeral on first listen, but I've gotten sick of it already, whereas I still like Funeral as much as I did when I bought it 2 years ago. Overall it's not disappointing, I just listened to it too much and I have to take a break. I don't know where it's available to download though, a friend burned it for me.

Just gotta do a little diggin in the archives. The sounds a bit muddy, so I'm still holding out on giving the final verdict. It's not bad, but I've never been big on the Arcade Fire. Hopefully this will be the one to change my feelings!

"Intervention" gives me chills everytime I hear it. Funeral took several weeks to grow on me but quickly became one of my favorite albums of all time. I think Neon Bible may have a similar effect.

this album is amazing. i might say it's a better than funeral. (i had hard time time envisioning anything better than funeral coming from them pre-listen). im sure a couple of their future albums will be even better than this one. they will be monumental.
I haven't had any luck finding the album, so I guess I'll just wait until March 6 (only two more weeks!!). Anyway, I can't wait until Saturday night for their SNL appearance. Tell everybody you know
If you, like me, like to wait for the "official release" but want to have an idea of what it's going to sound like, I recommend the "Live Arcade Fire in Concert" stream from npr.org live concert series. I'm liking what I hear so far.
--------------- I wonder if you're mythologizing me, like I do you

Sorry to be a party pooper, but Neon Bible is not that good. It just isn't it. If you loved Funeral, you will probably just like NB. If you liked Funeral, you will probably think NB is nothing special. However, if you want to see for yourself, just go to torrentspy, not that that's legal or anything.

This is such a weird post. People love this album and there's a ton of evidence right in this thread. That last sentence is pretty strange too. Dude, you're on shrooms.

Maybe the problem is that I'm not on shrooms...

Perhaps it is your "opinion" that Neon Bible isn't good? Plenty of people like the album... and some people who didn't like Funeral are digging this one.
It is my opinion that it's good. Really good. But, you know... it's pretty subjective. I could state that without a doubt, it's good music, but if anyone said that about anything Spencer Krug put his hands on, I would completely disagree with them.
V V V V - Well, you did imply that drug use was necessary for enjoyment of the album. :P

Ha? I don't remember saying, "It's a fact that..." I didn't think when I wrote it that someone would look at my post and say to themselves, "Man, this guy just said that NB isn't good. Where did he find that fact?" Furthermore, I don't remember giving any evidence that people didn't like the album. Clearly, some people like it. Some people love it. Some people also don't love it, like me. I thought it was obvious, but maybe I should start prefacing what I say with "IMHO", although I think that's kind of silly.
