Just thought I would see if anyone else here listens or has listened to either of Juno's albums, "this is the way it goes and goes and goes" or "A Future Lived in Past Tense". I loved them when they were first released around 2000, and have recently rediscovered why. They broke up a while ago, but these albums deserve to be heard. Massive three guitar attacks melt into gorgeous melodies, and these lyrics are just unbelievably well thought out.

In all regards, a very tight band. I highly recommend either album, in fact they kind of remind me of a more contemplative version of The Constantines maybe? But that doesn't do them justice as Juno is much more atmospheric than rocking most of the time. I dunno, I'll be happy if anyone here has heard them, and if not, go check em out!

Not all those who wander are lost.

I really do love Juno. I remember first hearing about them from DeSoto labelmates The Dismemberment Plan (they did a split EP which is quite good). At the time, I was pretty heavily into guitar-based indie rock so Juno hit the spot perfectly.

Since that time of discovery I have gone back many times and listened again to the albums. While "A Future Lived In Past Tense" seems a little long winded for me, I never tire of listening to "This Is the Way It Goes And Goes And Goes." It isn't just nostalgia that gets me when I listen to this record. Heavy use of reverb for atmosphere, pounding rhythms, rather good lyrical quality, and a willingness to experiment helped Juno remain in my regular playlists all the way up the present.
