Such a great song too. It baffles me how people go nuts over Grizzly Bear, but In Ear Park was pretty much given the finger by most everyone last year. If this song was the lead off single on Veckatimest and this was the video for it, people would be peeing their pants. In my humble opinion, of course.

Here's one I've come back to several times over the past few months.
Department Of Eagles - No One Does It Like You

What are the odds that 7 hours later Pitchfork would have an update about how much they love this video?
Ah, Cheezit! I guess I need to follow through with my restraining order.
Anyway, it's hardly "indie" but the same director recently did the video for Depeche Mode's new single "Wrong". It's completely different in style from The Department of Eagles video, but it is equally creepy and bizzare. I guess it can get indie cred due to the fact that the guy tied up in the car is the dude from The Liars. Speaking of which, it's a little older, but I'll also post a link to my favorite Liars music video.

I was going to mention this one too, because it's probably my favorite video this year. It's more like a miniature movie though, since the music is so ambient. I like the song and all, but it's really inconsequential to the video.
It's very well shot, and well paced.

Real good stuff that you guys mentioned (Depeche Mode, Department of Eagles), but I specifically focus on new videos that were premiered last month. Still a good list nonetheless.
Gotcha. I figured, you know, best indie videos this year or something. Are you looking for something specific here? Are you asking for us to list more? or do you want feedback on the list you gave?
Anyway.
I found the Matt and Kim video very disturbing. Not for any sort of aversion to nudity or anything, and not even disturbing in a bad way. Just, it's a very simple and sort of "Blah" concept on the surface ("Hey, let's just have the band take all of their clothes off on a busy city street"). What I find disturbing is the unspoken, unscene depth to the story. I feel there is something else going on here that adds a lot of uncomfortable tension to what is already an uncomfortable situation. Who exactly are these characters? Where did they come from? Where are they now? Who is filming them? Why are they taking off their clothes? I feel their taking off their clothes is not meant to be sexy, and they aren't "streaking", there is something else going on. This makes it very interesting.

Hmmm that gave me an idea. Instead of being too specific, lets just discuss favorite music video so far this year.
I don't know the artist but the song sounded exactly like the ambient intro to life in technicolour by Coldplay. Anyway the video is just a large shiny discoball blanket thingy floating around, its amazing.

It's probably "Light Through the Veins" by Jon Hopkins. Check on his myspace to confirm if that's the song you are thinking of.
Although I'm slightly ashamed to admit that I did come across this video on Pitchfork it doesn't make it any less fantastic. It manages to be funny yet kinda creepy at the same time

Yea Spike Jonze is awesome. Good music video, can't wait till Where The Wild Things comes out.
This song is somber and downbeat, the music video though is the real highlight. It is pretty sick...and cool at the same time. Telefon Tel Aviv - Immolate Yourself
The Telefon Tel Aviv is actually a really cool song, the way the beat shifts is ausome. But I its hard to notice because the video is so disturbing. I just don't like how it repeats itself at the end.
The head of state has called for me, but I don't have time for him
