april 14 was yesterday. april 14 was my 19th birthday. april 14 was the q and not u show in phoenix. it was a good birthday.

first, i really like their albums. i like the danced out fugazi-ish style with slammin grooves. i like falsetto. i like the ultra-persistant drummer. i like it all. but as much as i like the cd's, almost nobody i've ever seen matches q and not u's live show. they absolutely destroy their songs with grooves and the floor becomes alternately a dance party (for new songs) and a dischord show (for older songs). i just want to share, q and not u is unstopable. if you like them at all, do yourself a favor and let them tear you apart in person. enjoy the show.
