I noticed on the coming soon box at eMusic that The Hold Steady has a new album coming out in April, so I looked it up on Wikipedia, the consummate source for totally reliable information.
Turns out, it's a live album called A Positive Rage. It was recorded during the end of their Boys and Girls in America Tour, so the track list only includes one song from Stay Positive. But, it does have a couple of obscure tracks - "You Gotta Dance (With Who You Came With)", an excellent song that can be found on Crisp Songs, Vol. 1 compilation, and "Ask Her for Aderall", which was on the bonus disc that came with the special edition of the physical copy of Stay Positive.
Here's the track list:
1. "Intro" 2. "Stuck Between Stations" 3. "The Swish" 4. "Chips Ahoy!" 5. "Massive Nights" 6. "Ask Her for Adderall" 7. "Barfruit Blues" 8. "Same Kooks" 9. "You Gotta Dance (With Who You Came With)" 10. "Lord, I'm Discouraged" 11. "You Can Make Him Like You" 12. "Your Little Hoodrat Friend" 13. "Southtown Girls" 14. "Citrus" 15. "First Night" 16. "Girls Like Status" 17. "Killer Parties"
That's a pretty good set, but I would exchange "Cattle and the Creeping Things" for "Southtown Girls" and "Stevie Nix" for "Same Kooks". I'm pleased to finally be able to get my hands on "Ask Her for Aderall".

You would exchange Stevie Nix for Same Kooks? Dear God, WHY!?!?!
That would be like if Radiohead put out a live album and you wanted to exchange Reckoner for Fitter Happier.
EDIT: Whoops, I completely misread your post. I thought you were saying you would replace Stevie Nix with Same Kooks, not the other way round. My mistake.
When I saw them, they played "Cattle and the Creeping Things", "Stevie Nix", "Multitude of Casualties" and "Southtown Girls". I don't remember "Same Kooks" though. I'm not saying it didn't happen, I just don't remember.
Similar to the show I saw, this live disc opens with "Stuck Between Stations" and ends with "Killer Parties".

"Same Kooks" is one of my least favorite HS songs. "Stevie Nix" is wayyyyyyy better.
I used to be like that.
"Same Kooks" helps tie together part of the lyrical narrative of BAGIA; my favorite lyric is the one that goes, "the sheets stain, but the sins wash away."
"Stevie Nix" is good too though. I've just met too many Hold Steady fans that dislike "Same Kooks," and I want to fight for it.
On a completely separate note, I totally agree with exchanging "Southtown Girls" with "Cattle and Creeping Things".
Now THIS is something I can support.
The two songs I've always wanted to hear the Hold Steady play live are "First Night" and "Chillout Tent" (imagine the audience interaction with that one...a call-and-response between guys and girls...would be epic).
And, after Heroes, "Atlantic City" (or anything Springsteen, frankly).

I don't know that they ever do that one live. I saw them not too long after the release of BAGIA, and it was one of the few songs they skipped. I assume it was due to the lack of having a female touring vocalist and anyone in the band who sounded remotely like Dave Pirner.
I love "Chillout Tent". It's probably my third favorite song on BAGIA after "First Night" and "Stuck Between Stations".

"Chillout Tent" was the song that made me actually give the band more spins (at first, I couldn't take Finn's singing style). It's probably my 4th favorite, behind "You Can Make Him Like You," "First Night," and "Stuck Between Stations." BAGIA is certainly my favorite Hold Steady album.

When I saw them during their tour with the Drive-By Truckers, they played it towards the end of their set, with Patterson Hood and Shonna Tucker of DBT coming out to do the male-female vocals. It was pretty awesome.

Yah. If only the Drive-By Truckers hadn't sucked so much when I saw them live, I would still respect them like I used to.
Terrible live performance (@ the Wiltern in Los Angeles). Are they usually that boring and musically challenged on stage?

I loved them when I saw them. Their closer (Let There Be Rock) was absolutely incredible. And they definitely seemed like better musicians than The Hold Steady.
I am certainly going to have my fingers crossed at Coachella.
Then again, who am I kidding? Exactly two weeks from now, I'll be hearing the Boss himself rocking his songs at the LA Sports Arena.
Can I just say that seeing TV on the Radio (4/14), Springsteen (4/15), and this year's stellar Coachella lineup (4/17-4/19) is going to be the most amazing week of my life thus far?
For anyone who was disappointed that they only had one song from Stay Positive on this album, here's a link to the SXSW session on Daytrotter, which features downloads of Constructive Summer, Sequestered in Memphis, and Stay Positive, plus Sweet Payne.
