I'm posting this here because, while Antony & the Johnsons are certainly not rock, they are most definitely indie.
Is anybody as excited as I am for their new album, The Crying Light, coming in January? I'm happy he's releasing the "Another World" EP in October so I can at least have a little taste of the new stuff before I delve head-first into a new section of Antony's amazing sonic world. I bought their self-titled album last night on iTunes, with which I'm very familiar, but lost my copy when my old iPod died. Anyway, since I collect all of his EPs and albums, this is joyous news for me.
P.S. Have you guys heard about high-end fashion designers using his work / projects he's been involved with? Prada used a recent song of his for an animation they did, and Chanel has been using "Blind" and another track (can't remember which) from Hercules and Love Affair a lot. Interesting!
