Hmm, I like some Pumpkins, and I like some MBV. I've never head of this band, but I'll have to check it out.

Very good album, sounds a lot like mid-90's Smashing Pumpkins. One of the few albums I've liked enough to buy this year.

I heard "Lazy Eye" on the radio a few weeks ago and was immediately struck with how damn much the guitars sounded like those of the Pumpkins, Gish era. This meant, of course, that I had to get my hands on it. So far, I'm loving it a great deal.

I'm willing to give the new Pumpkins a listen. However, Silversun Pickups sound fantastic, and I can definitely see this album growing on me even more. My roommate even walked into the room and asked me what I was listening to, and I gave him the album as well. They're pretty freakin' cool after just one listen.

I'm betting there's a good chance that the new Pumpkins won't be as good as 'Carnavas'.

They seemed a bit like a one-song-band. But man, this album is fantastic. "Melatonin" is close to perfect and the whole album is full of edgy beats and great guitar playing. Damn. This would be on my list, if I kept track of those things.

Silversun Pickups put on an incredible live show, and the after parties are pretty intense. To echo the sentiments of one of my collegues "sspu's next album is going to be great... assuming Brian survives the touring"
