You like the following bands: Spoon Arcade Fire The National Josh Ritter Animal Collective Thanks for asking. Oh, and my suggestion would be to not buy ten albums all at one time. It's not very respectful to a good album. It's like trying to take ten chicks out on a date at the same time. enjoy them one or two at a time.

I'm a big Spoon and National fan too. You should definitely check out those two bands back catalogs. Have you checked out Okkervil River's new album, The Stage Names? That's pretty great.

Get Alligator, It's a sure bet, if you have any interest in Indie music and The National especially. And Okkervil River is great. I almost suggested them. They have a certain backwoods rollick to their old stuff. Stage Names is their newest, and probably closest to what you are used to hearing. But "Black Sheep Boy" is their Masterpiece, and if you can find it in the Deluxe Edition it's a great value too.

Those are pretty good choices. I think given your interests you might have prefered "Strawberry Jam" to "Feels", but Animal Collective is pretty strong no matter what you get. I'm curious what you think of "Some Loud Thunder". And also, you should say which one of these you think rates best. I don't know how I could have considered "Turn on the Bright Lights" and "Alligator" if I heard the two of them on the same day.

ok after listenin to some of both of them heres what i think- some loud thunder-great lol. im serious, almost as good as the first. alligator-not as good as boxer. not bad though. hissing fauna-pretty good. dont have anything by them to compare it to though. return to cookie mountain-wolf like me is amazing. the rest is alright, nothing incredble. mass romantic-very solid. not twin cinema, but pretty good. turn on the bright lights-incredible so far. feels-not bad. a little odd, but good. in order id rank them so far some loud thunder turn on the bright lights hissing fauna mass romantic alligator return to cookie mountain feels all of them are very strong though, and my rankings could change after multiple listens. i might pick up strawberry jam in the next few weeks.

I love the interest in Indie Music but it seems a bit rushed to rank 7 different albums only hours after getting them. I know you get first impressions and all, but I would need a bit more time. Curious to see if Alligator rises on the list though.

Seriously, 150 bucks you could probably get a really nice 1.9 % return on your investment over the next 36 months or so. Of course, the cost of living will probably outpace that

I forgot the fed keeps cutting the interest rates. Never mind, spend away, you won't ever need that discretionary money in the future.

Just go the Dischord website - great freakin' people at that label, by the way - and order up a couple of the early Fugazi live shows, perhaps their first D.C. show on 9-3-87 - still only $8. While you're there, pick up a Slant 6 album. If you're unfamiliar with them, do it anyway. Good stuff.
