This album is pretty good, in spite of some writing it off as Coldplay-ish. It ain't perfect, but I'm still enjoying it quite a bit.

I agree. I wrote it off for the most part early, but the more I listen to it, its realy not that bad. Its Coldplay-ish in the vein of their first couple of Coldplay albums, which I still occasionally enjoy. There's nothing here as awful as "Fix You." Its more mainstream and safe for sure, where their first album leaned towards say the Futureheads. And my wife loves it, which counts for something.

I agree. I mean, I still enjoy one of Coldplay's songs from their first two albums from time to time, but Bloc Party is at least somewhat ambitious. Coldplay's just making radio hits. That's all they do. I see Bloc Party going in a really interesting direction after this album.
