Look at this lineup for Lollapalooza 2007. I've never been to one but sweet zombie jesus this list is making the hair on my nipples freeze up and snap off.
Yeah, Lollapalooza looks pretty nice this year. I'd love to see My Morning Jacket and TV on the Radio play. It just cost a bit much for me, bottom line. There aren't enough bands I'm excited about to drop $150.

Yeah, 150 dollars is way too steep for me. Pitchfork's festival, regardless of how you feel about the site, is one of the only ones left that's still affordable. I would go if it wasn't a thousand miles away from me.
I'm going to Lollapalooza this summer. I would definetely prefer to go to Pitchfork, but that's ok. It is a bit pricey, especially when compared to Pitchfork, but I don't mind.
Bands I'm excited for: Blonde Redhead, Tv on the Radio, My Morning Jacket, The Roots, and !!! (whom I don't like very much, but have heard very good things about their live show),
I'm going to Lolla this summer too; so much excited about it, counting the days... But now that the official line up is now known, I know I will have a lot of difficult choices to make : Interpol and Muse at the same time, My Morning Jacket and Modest Mouse, Clap your Hands and The Roots, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon and Iggy, Yo La Tengo and !!!, etc, etc...
Although I'm sure it worths the price, someone else upset by this year's schedule?!?!
My brother and I are going, and let me tell ya, we're ape-shit with anticipation. To me, the only super-duper-tough choice is between Modest Mouse and My Morning Jacket. Although I really wanted to see !!!, I think I'm gonna go with Peter Bjorn and John (What I've heard of Yo La Tengo bores the pants right off me). CYHSY and The Roots is another I haven't decided on yet. But Interpol and Muse? Come on! I'd cut off my left nut before I'd see Muse over Interpol.
Oh, and can anyone explain to me why TVOTR only gets a lousy 45 minutes while plenty of crap bands get a full hour?

Well, I saw Muse twice and I can tell you, their show is sooooo good, but if you don't like Muse, I understand, but Interpol and Muse are 2 of my favorite bands so I just don't know what to do! Maybe I'll try to see half of each...!
I know what you mean for TVOTR, it's so unfair, what the hell happened??!?! I think I'll go for Modest Mouse over MMJ, although I'd love to see both! It seems that The Roots are giving a hell of a great show, but I still haven't made my choice.
Yeah, nothing against Muse's live show, I just really don't care for their music. My brother inexplicably dislikes Modest Mouse, so we'll probably end up seeing MMJ, which is fine with me. I've heard that !!! are great live, but I was wondering who else is playing Lolla that you guys might have seen that are great live bands. Any recommendations?
Oh, and speaking of the drive, I live in Wichita, which is about a 12 hour drive from Chi City. I get off work at midnight on Thursday night, after which we'll be driving straight through to get to the festival on Friday morning. After PJ plays Sunday night, we'll be driving straight back so I have time to get a nap before I work 3:30 to midnight on Monday. Briznow will be a tired boy.

Recommendations? Hummm except Muse? Well, we saw Pearl Jam and although I am not a huge fan (it's my boyfriend's favourite band), the show was really great, they played a very long time! We also saw Sam Roberts Band twice which was great too, but for all the other bands that we really like, it will be our first show.
Outside Lolla's lineup, my favourite live shows were Arcade Fire, Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie!!!
What about you, have you seen any of the bands that will be playing at Lolla?
P.S. I'm sure each of our loooong drive to Lolla will be worthing it!
