I don't know if there's already a thread for this. I couldn't find one. I really like her album. I haven't read a review that does it justice and I think it deserves some love.

I haven't heard her solo stuff. I do really like the Stars album Set Yourself on Fire. And her work with BSS is pretty amazing as well.

I'm not familiar with her solo work or Stars but I am positive Emily Haines is in BSS. She's the backing vocals on numerous songs (Almost Crimes anyone?)

Yes. She's in BSS. Not Stars though.

I'm nearly positive that Haines does not sing on "Almost Crimes". I believe the backing vocals are Feist on that one. Haines sings on "Anthem For a Seventeen Year-Old Girl" on You Forgot it in People and "Swimmers" on the s/t. She's definitely the vocalist for Metric.

Amy Millan is the vocalist for Stars.

It's pretty tough to keep the members of BSS and their other projects straight.

Haines vs. Feist

Tried to pick good shots of both. Both of them actually have their bad moments as well if you do a little google image searching.

Those were certainly excellent.

I'm definitely a brunette man, so Feist wins this battle of hotness hands down. Plus she's feisty (couldn't resist).

haines is way better looking.

I don't personally think either of them are exactly knock-outs. Maybe my standards are a little too high, but if those are the best pictures we can find of Haines and Feist, I'm yet to be impressed. Not ugly by any means, but they're not "hot".

BSS is dissected here , also, check out the Emily Haines "Dr. Blind" video here. I love me some Emily Haines. She's sexy. But heck, so is Leslie Feist (who's new album is reviewed here. Hope those are worth reading.
