it was a pleasure to see FWN in your chart (#9)!To tell you the truth i didnt expect so many people here to like it but it seems that its gonna have a good place in the "end of the year albums list" in metacritic.
btw, even if FWN is my album of the year , tryin to be objective , i dont know if its really the best album of the year with so many great releases in 2007 , but i can tell you for sure that is a very strong collection of songs that i still want to hear after all these months.

i think you are right with that comment but maybe that s the key for a commercial , with a lot of hype UK band , like the Arctics , to keep releasing good music , playin the game with their own rules n not turning to the new oasis (era "be here now")

So do I, but I despise their debut. They showed a lot of technical growth on this album which is what drew me in.

"Despise their debut?"

I think you need to focus your negative energy elsewhere, and maybe check out the first album again, EVEN. Cool

But it was so repetitive. I could only ever get into "I Bet You Look Good On the Dancefloor".

And I channel my negative energy towards plenty of album... In Rainbows, Boxer, Neon Bible (and that's only from this year!).

You hater!

I would also attest to giving their first album another shot. I really like both of their albums a lot—and I don’t really feel like picking one—but their debut is just as good as their newest album. That one is in my top five of last year and I would have done the same with the new one if this year wasn’t such a MONSTER one for music.

But seriously, give it another chance because despite all of the hype, it’s a fantastic album.

Fine fine fine, if it'll get you dudes off my nuts, I'll do it.

But I won't be happy about it... haha

Chances are I'll wind up liking it. Hype really gets to me. I might wind up going to Neon Bible a few years from now and finding I really like it... probably not In Rainbows though, it just bores me.
