I did a search for Craw in these forums and came up with a result posted by philosopherEric. However, the context of Craw was all wrong so to set the record straight…

Craw is not the crop of a bird or insect… nor is it the stomach of an animal. It does not even mean to cause one to feel abiding discontent and resentment. Craw is simply… one of the greatest bands I’ve ever come across in my meaningless existence.

The thing I like about Craw is that they tend to do the exact opposite of what “is” popular music… and they do it very well. There’s no “verse, chorus, verse” crap… no “let’s make sure our lyrics rhyme” bullshit. I find their music to be quite poetic… and against the grain.

If you haven’t listened to Craw before, I recommend giving a listen to some of the following songs off their 4 albums…

A few of you might recognize the style of their Lost Nation Road release (if you check out their website, that is). It was done by Derek Hess (http://www.derekhess.com/default.cfm); an amazing sketch artist.

All other bands can go to hell. ;-)
