So, the new album by Bon Iver mastermind Justin Vernon is set for a release date next month, and has recently leaked to the internet. It's a really great record, and is simply gorgeous. Justin Vernon strays away from the constantly spare arrangements of For Emma, Forever Ago to create an album that is more complex, but without sacrificing any of the emotional punch of his main project.

Favorite songs so far are "Still," "Island IS," and "Husks and Shells."

What do you guys think? It may not reach the same status that For Emma did last year, but I'm glad to see Justin Vernon is going to be more than a guy that creates one great album under the extraordinary circumstances surrounding it. He's got some other tricks up his sleeve as an artist, and it's a treat to see him testing them out and not sticking with the simpler (but no less compelling) formula found on his Bon Iver material.
