Although discussing the most overrated bands is more fun, finding bands who have been getting no love from the MAINSTREAM press is a kick too. I'll start this off: the most underrated band is Cloud Cult. Why this band isn't raved about I'm not sure. Now granted, I've only heard the last album, "Advice from the happy hippopotamus"; but it's so good that that alone should suffice. Your thoughts on MOST UNDERRATED (either band or album)?

I don't have thoughts on who's the most underrated, but I do have thoughts on Cloud Cult. I think they are fine, but nothing I would even recommend to my friends, much less rave about. Advice From The Happy Hippopotamus is fun and pleasantly left of center, but it's nothing magnificent. Of course, you're free to disagree (and you have already).

Perhaps Dispatch. They make some awesome music, but not many people have heard of them. I am surprised they aren't hugely popular. Well, actually they broke up, but still.
