Anyone here dig these girls? I'm giving it a listen and it's not terrible. I would rather the preteens of the world listen to Smoosh than the dreaded boy bands. Give it a quick listen. I can't see any huge indie fan going back more than once but...

I wouldn't damn the Smoosh sisters with the faint praise of "not terrible." I've been on the album most of the year and think it's great, a real contender for my year-end list. Asya has pipes and a delivery most twenty and thirty-somethings would be lucky to possess and musically they're every bit as assured and mature as, say, Mates of State. I know crazed, mark f, and nathanielkt have spoken favorably of them as well.

Oh, and I'm taking this to Indie. I agree that the there are a lot of indie devotees that aren't going to give them much of a chance, but in terms of style and their presence on Barsuk, they're more appropriate in Indie, I think.
