This came out this week. Apparently, it's an older collection that is being rereleased after the success of . . . Are the Dark Horse. I read a review that says it's less psychedelic.
Has anyone heard this yet? Is it worth investigating? FKA, is it streaming on you favorite site?

I wouldn’t even investigate it. Despite critics raving about Are the Dark Horses, to be fair it was an unoriginal, lack lustre effort. Hopefully Volume One will be better (which in its self wont be a momentous achievement.)

I liked Are the Dark Horse, but it's kind of a mood thing. I definitely have to be in the right mood for it.
It still runs a chance of making it onto my top 20...
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

Volume One (their debut album) is decent, but not as solid. It's more meandering and less focused. Here's a live version of one of songs from it. There are parts of songs that are terrific, but as a whole it's not something I can listen to over and over and enjoy the hell out of like I can with The Dark Horse

Yeah, despite a lot of people really liking it, it was obviously not that good. Glad you cleared that up.
