I'd have to say:

islands - rough gem. the songs keyboard and how the song is so addictive is amazing.

also wolf parade - dear sons and daughters of hungry ghosts, and this heart's on fire.

I kind of think this is a lame thread (sorry), but I'll say on a whim that "Moby Octopad" by Yo La Tengo wins. Of course, that could change any second. Hence my first clause.

Well, if we're limiting it strictly to indie-pop (different from indie-rock), I'll go with

Fruit Bats - "Rainbow Sign"
I'm From Barcelona - "We're From Barcelona"
Magnetic Fields - "I Don't Want To Get Over You"
Page France - "Trampoline"
Snow Machine - "Came Lights"
Hello Saferide - "I Don't Sleep Well"

Just off the top of my head, I'd say Islands - Rough Gem and Stars - Elevator Love Letter and Ageless Beauty.

I'm not calling this my favorite, but a song that always gets stuck in my head is "Holland, 1945" by Neutral Milk Hotel. I've been whistling it for three days!

absolutely amazing song, IMO. i also love "song about sex" off of on avery island.

you could probably take any of The Unicorns' songs....i'll go with "Ghost Mountain," although "I was born a Unicorn" is another favorite (in the indie-pop stuff).

Oh lord, that entire Unicorns album is just one great big indie pop explosion that's so good when it hits the ears.

Of Montreal makes some pretty neat indie pop, in my opinion. "This Party's Crashing Us", "Wraith Pinned to the Mist", "Disconnect the Dots", and "Rapture Rapes the Muses" are great songs off of their last two albums.
