I just discovered this band the other day.....WOW! Good stuff. If you like the Country/Folk/Blue Grass genre of Indie music then you should like this stuff. They have a couple albums out (Embassador and Mountain Meadows). On Embassador a track called 'What Would You Have Me Believe' is a slow burning guitar plucker that plays over a telephone conversation. My Friend is an ominous waltz type tune, and Wolfgang and Second Son are both jangly banjo plucking toe tappers. Mountain Meadows has a similar mix of songs, with W.I.A.D.F.Y. and The Valley Town being the foot stomping guitar/banjo ditty's, Without Again having more of a Honky Tonk style, and Garden River jamming with electric guitars blazing. It doesn't seem like these guys get as much press as say, Okkervil River, Iron and Wine, Califone, Wilco, etc. All I know is, I'm lovin' this stuff right now..... great sound.

I just noticed a thread in the Folk forum about these guys. Sorry, I didn't think of looking there first. They're still worth mentioning again!!!

You should pick up The Moondoggies "Don't Be A Stranger" if you love Elliott Brood.

I never hated any of you/I loved you all at the time
