Michael Dahlquist, the founding member of Silkworm, died in 2005. The band called it quits, but eventually reformed as Bottomless Pit. They released an album very late last year called Hammer of the Gods. I guess it fell under the radar of "year end lists" and such, perhaps, not surprising given that Silkworm mostly fell under the radar. Silkworm fans (or anyone else, really) should check it out.
