Tulsa released an album last year called "I Was Submerged", and the more I listen to it, the more brilliant I think it is. I don't know how these guys are flying under the radar, but if you think you are a fan of Band of Horses, check these dudes out. They definitely are going to be compared to BoH and also My Morning Jacket. IMHO, they are already better than the former, but have quite a ways to pass the latter, but I certainly think they have room to grow.

im looking for pretty much the most uninspired/unoriginal brutal and/or slam death. with little or no variation in vocals. stuff like disgorge(us) and condemned.

Ok I really like Tulsa and all but there is no WAY they are better than Band of Horses. BOH is awesome!

Tulsa are very good, I agree. But be careful of saying "much better" when you actually just mean "somewhat more obscure". Smiler
