I'll be missing them, as there is a party I'm going to that night.
However, I will be seeing them in May. And I assume any good sketches with Rainn Wilson (read: digital short done by the guys from Lonely Island) will be on youtube soon enough.

I already have snl tivo'd (I'll be watching live as well... just figure I'll have it saved for a year or two ). I also got tickets to the Asheville show yesterday. I've never seen them before, so the fact that I'm third row front and center has me very, very excited. I'm even telling people that know nothing about indie rock to watch the show tonight. Most of them are probably hopeless, but if you convert even just one...
By the way, I'd love for them to at least play one song from Funeral. Does anybody think there's a chance of that?
Yeah, that's what I meant (on SNL). Based on the show reviews I've read they've played 3 or 4 from Funeral each night. Nothing against Neon Bible (I'm one of the few who haven't heard it), but it'd be great to see them do one from Funeral and two new ones tonight. Either way, can't wait for SNL and can't wait until March 6.
I just got two (mediocre) tickets to the DC show! Hooray. It's right during my last set of finals ever though...so I might have to craigslist them. [sigh]

I wouldn't be surprised if they played either "Wake Up", "Rebellion (Lies)", or "Power Out". I'm almost positive they'll play "Black Mirror", and probably they'll play "Intervention" or "Keep the Car Running".

i forgot completely about it, luckily i happened to turn on the tube for their last performance, they did "keep the car running", and i thought it was great.
what did you guys think of it, and how were the others?
They did Intervention and Keep the Car Running. At the end of Intervention, Win's string broke and he yanked out a few more in frustration before smashing his guitar.
I thought both songs sounded great. I really really love Neon Bible though so I'm biased.

I didn't care at all for Funeral but the performance on SNL was good. I'll actually check out Neon Bible on the strength of that performance. I just turned down free tickets to the Atlanta show...maybe I need to see if they're still available...

I'm not a huge fan of Neon Bible, but their performance on SNL was pretty darn good. It made we want to go back and reconsider the album.

I taped it and watched it this morning. Great songs, great performances. I can't wait for the album. I get the feeling this is gonna be a really big year for indie rock in terms of mainstream crossover success. The Arcade Fire will become huge, and all the hipsters will turn against them.
earlier that night i developed a very painful migrane but i was determined to make it hope to catch it.
i struggled through the show mainly because most the acts were god-aweful(damn i miss old snl) but in the end i was glad i made it through. it was well worth the agony.
as far as those atl tickets go if you dont want them, get them and send them to me! haha.
