I heard of these guys a while ago with the release of the EP Reset, I guess they have a full album out now. Yet, I see no reviews on metacritic, where's the love? I recently saw these guys live at a small local venue and it was one of, if not the best show I've been to. Anybody have any thoughts on these guys?

I really like their reversed video for... that one song...

I keep thinking I might like them, but then I listen to some samples and change my mind.

What are some suggestions to check out?

All the songs are really poppy and sappy.. I checked them out when the album first came out this year because they were going to be at a venue near me.. and, well.. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. :/

dude you totally should have went to the show. I wasnt too impressed with the album, but they were very good live with all the homemade instruments and improv percussion jams.

however, after seeing them live, i really enjoy the album more.

Actually, I feel the same way about it. They played a local venue, and Sinister and I went and checked it out. We had never heard of them, and had no preconceived notions. The place was packed, so, obviously, somebody had heard of them.

We were really impressed with the show. Very energetic, very percussion driven. I thought some of the vocals were a bit emo, but, in the context of the show, I didn't find it disturbing.

We bought the CD at the show, and, it is OK. Not earth shattering. Not top 20 for me for the year or anything like that. But OK.

I suspect if I had heard the album first, I wouldn't have been especially interested in seeing them. But since it happened the other way around, I'll listen to the album now and then.

My respect for the band went through the roof after seeing how they made the reverse "Typical" video. They literally play it backward. Paul Meany sings it backward. The drummer drums backward. The guitarist plays backward. That takes a level of talent that is hard to come by. The music is fine, nothing great, not bad though. If they came out with a new album, I'd buy it.

They not only did the video in reverse, but they played it backward live on Kimmel. I agree that that could not have been easy.
