I think The Dears are successful in that they have a loyal and widely spread fanbase, they just haven't had a song or record that has taken them into the mainstream. Who knows, this new album might provide it?

I'm going to go see The Dears later this month. Im looking forward to it and I hope they play some songs from this new album

I think its because most people (generally speaking) shy away from music that sounds negative, personally I don't focus on whether the music is positive or negative and just listen to the music for what it is. Alot of people I have shown The Dears to have said they sound too negative, unfortunately. Not everyones cup of tea so to speak.

Yeah its a good album, but I can understand how people could not initially like it. It is a grower.
