So, you can equate NOT LIKING the album to being inhuman, but I can't call you a fanboy for liking it? Interesting. You start the trolling, but then get defensive when called out.

Posts like yours make me sad for the world.

Anyone know where I can get lyrics to this CD? I can only sing along to about half of each song because I can't make out the words...I'm obsessive about things like this, haha.

For lyrics try: www.songmeanings.net

As to my opinion:

I understand the complaint that the music is too dense and the melodies too distant. However, this is exactly why the record appeals to me. It has a hazy, dream-like quality to it that really interests me.

The only other album I have by them is "Horn Of Plenty" which I think is a rather hit or miss release. There are still some great tracks on it, so it might be worth getting if you are a fan.

It seems a very good album, interesting, strange.
I put it on when I go to bed so I hardly know the second half...

Valium, kind-of.

"Knife" is by far my favorite on the album, it's wonderful.

However, it's been rainy as hell in my part of the neighborhood for the past week or so; and this album is wonderful rain weather music.

Strong album. Just so... Different

I absolutely adore this record -- it's been a blessing. From the opening strains of 'easier' to the final track, 'colorado' it fills me with bliss, longing, melancholy, joy.
a wonderful experience.

This was hands down my favorite album of the year. Possibly top 10 all time honestly. I haven't stopped listening to it since I bought it in September, and I have yet to grow tired of a single song. Some of the most gorgeous harmonies and melodies I have heard in a long time, these guys know how to write music. Can't wait to see them live.

I concur, I often put it on before I fall asleep... but I do tht with some of my favorite albums. It's just real chill at a lot of points.

Yellow House was a wonderful album. Something to just sit back, and expirience. Something new, but because pitchfork loved it all the indie hipsters will too.

I saw them open for TV on the Radio in Irving, they were great... if you ever get the chance to see them you should

I really wish I could have caught Grizzly Bear and TV on the Radio playing together Frowner Living here in Missoula, Montana, it's a little difficult to make it to a lot of good shows...unless I feel like driving 10 hours. *sigh*

I really hope I can see them in February when they actually come to my state.

(It's the first all ages show around here by a band I actually like in...as long as I can remember. I'm excited.)

I will get to see them twice in one night here in Portland, as they are playing an all ages show first followed immediately by a 21+ one - at the same venue!

A dream come true for me, I can't wait to see them.

A very nice album, especially if you try and sync it up with the film 'City Of Lost Children' (as mentioned on pitchfork)...works much better than the over hyped 'Dark Side of the moon' and 'wizard of oz' combo.

I'm sorry but a very decent band's even more decent sophomore album being compared to Dark Side of the Moon? And oh wait, you say that it "works better than the over hyped" combination of Moon and The Wizard of Oz? Well, you know where the door is.

I think you're very much overreacting FKA. He wasn't comparing DSoTM to YH, only the combination of movie to album timing.

Yeah....what less_sucess said. Also, to be honest I got over 'Dark side of the moon' a long time ago, so I would have to side with 'Yellow House' as well. So there! Razzer
