Anyone see this movie yet? Pretty amazing. The film is very evocative of the dogme style of film making. Does anyone know whether or not the director considers himself a dogme film maker?

Yes, absolutely astonishing film. I don't think the director is part of the Dogme movement but I can see the similarities.

great film...easily top 5 from last year
i posted a question on the international page asking why this movie was not on the best films 2007 page

anyone wanna answer?

and yes i can see the similarities to the dogme films... i d also throw comparisons to the dardenne brothers...very similar approach to filming the subjects.

came across this interview the other day of the films director Cristian Mungiu:

I can order this film On Demand, and I'm really looking forward to it, but with you guys comparing it to the Dardennes, that's making me feel less psyched about it. I'll post back when I watch it.
