For those who've seen Bottle Shock, which is my favorite indie comedy of the year thus far, I really think Alan Rickman has a shot at a Best Supporting Actor nom, much like Alan Arkin did in Little Miss Sunshine. Thoughts?
Of course, that's only if Bottle Shock makes some more money. It opened strong however in it's opening weekend, and is going much wider this weekend. I highly recommend it.
In case you're like "Bottle what?". Bottle Shock (bottleshockthemovie.com) is a small independent film that's out right now that has an amazing cast and really funny performances by their leads. Getting some really great reviews to (see MetaCritic.com .
I'd be curious of people's thoughts on the movie and their thoughts on Rickman's shot at Oscar Gold. It is long over due. After all, this is the man that brought you "Hans" in DIE HARD.
I didn't get enough incentive to go see this one after the trailer, but somehow people gave it a surprisingly high rating , which made me spent 2 tickets on this one. It is pretty entertaining with the beautiful Napa view; however, I doubt its potential in Oscar this year...
