I saw "The Visitor" today. It was great. I agree that I think it should win an Oscar -- I would hope for "Best Picture" -- although "Best Actor" would also be great - as Richard Jenkins was fabulous in the leading role. This is the very best movie I have seen in recent years. It was a sensitive and beautiful production. The ending, which some have stated seemed inconclusive, was the only one conceivable.

I doubt its shot for the Best Picture, but Best Actor definitely has a positive look. McCarthy is a very rare talent to reveal a big character from something small and plain.
