I was so excited that Edward Norton is the new Hulk, but then unsure if he fits the role. I realized this after I ran across a poll asking exactly that: which is better or is neither good for the roll. What do you think? You can also find this specific poll at: http://pollsb.com/polls/poll/6793/who-do-you-think-is-a...ruce-banner-the-hulk
despite the 2003 film being atrocious, i really liked eric bana as bruce. norton's going to have to put on some performance to keep me from thinking he's going to start curb-stomping people at any minute.

Excuse me, what? Did you miss Troy featuring Eric Bana as the mighty and glorious Prince Hector? The best man Achilles ever fought? That is hard to beat, I think.
I agree with golden flea that he will need to pull off an amazing transformation in order to succeed in this role. Luckily, I am a huge fan of Norton's, and think he will.

Yeah, I think in a contest of toughness, Eric takes the cake. Norton has pulled off some tough roles, but Eric (to me) comes off more of a natural tough guy, kind of calm and collective, where as Norton seems a bit more neurotic a person. However, for this reason, I think Norton might actually bring more contrast between the two persona's of the Hulk and Bruce Banner, which in the end might do the film more justice. All and all, the trailer looks awesome.

I have to see the new one to answer, but I didn't think Eric Bana was bad as the Hulk. The movie was bad but that wasn't really his fault, it was poorly directed and very poorly adapted from the comic to the screen. I hope they will learn from it though and I do look forward to seeing Ed Norton as the Hulk.

I just saw the new "Incredible Hulk" and felt that the writing was beneath Ed Norton's talents. The character development was very lacking as well. I would choose the first movie with Eric Bana any time. Also, Jennifer Connelly was much more believable in her role than was Liv Tyler.
I really enjoyed Edward Norton in the new Hulk movie but for some reason I think it unfair in this instance to compare actors in movies that have basically different perspectives on this superhero. What I would have been interested in (which could never happen) would have been to see both actors playing the same character in the same movie.
