The Dark Knight and Wanted are my big two movies for this summer; I'm totally stoked for both of them! I loved Batman Begins, and Wanted looks friggin' AMAZING; it could be the next Matrix or Fight Club for me, it looks so good.
There's a few other movies I'll probably see this summer as well, but those two are the ones I'm most looking forward to!
I am looking forward so much to Wall E, the trailer for the movie is just so wonderful. I mean, to get an audience to feel for a pile of tin is amazing to me. (But then, they already did that with a clownfish and car .)
And besides that one, I am very excited for: The Dark Knight, Mamma Mia!, ok, we can add... Wanted

The trailer for the new Coen Brothers movie "Burn After Reading" looks great but make sure to check out the unrated trailer. It's a dark comedy spy movie with Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton and comes out sometime in September.

As a "guru" my head is getting too big. I was wondering if somebody else might create a thread entitled, "Movies you are most looking forward to in 2009" or maybe even just "Movies you are most looking forward to (whenever)."

The Edge of Heaven a German film with what appears to be having a very limited release in the United States this year, is intriguing but both a plot synopsis and the trailer (which has the characters speaking English) presents a rather choppy storyline with some missing elements. Good photography, good performances, some great emotional, riveting scenes. I might see this movie - the reviews look promising.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Miyazaki's new film, Ponyo on the Cliff or whatever they decide to call it in English. Unfortunately we probably won't get a chance until 2009.
