What are some favorite gems you don't think have gotten enough attention this year?

The french horror L'Interieur (Inside) is easily one of the most genuinely terrifying movies I've ever seen (and it doesn't even have a metacritic page!). The surreal Italian immigrant drama Golden Door is like nothing else I've seen that tackles the subject matter. I think they're both technically from 2007, but I didn't have a ghost of a chance to see them until recently.

Also, Speed Racer needs more love.

I never watch any horror movies. I don't wanna my mind in a busy nerves.

Your comment does answer why you didn't watch "underrated" horror shows this year. With all the stress with the economy and finances, I'm beginning to avoid more and more horror movies because more of my psyche at this time just wants to be entertained not scared to death.
