I enjoyed The Deathly Hallows very much. But, I was a little surprised at who Rowling decided to kill.

I understand why Lupin and Tonks died. It sets up a relationship between Harry and their son similar to what Harry had (briefly) with Sirious. But, I was shocked at the death of Fred Weasley. I can understand how one of the Weasleys had to die - after all this was war. But why did Rowling choose Fred? Percy would have been a more poignant choice.

Also, I thought Rowling could have used more poetic justice at the end. For instance, it would have been much more satisfying if Neville killed Belatrix LeStrange (given that Belatrix was responsible for the conditions of Neville's parents). It seemed like a wasted opportunity for Molly Weasley to kill her.

Also, either Lupin or Bill Weasley should have had the opportunity to kill Fenyr Grayback.

But these are quibbles. I thought the book was amazing in all other respects.
