yeah but they have been long outdated now by all the technology advances
Don't knock them if you have not played on em i own Megadrive, xbox, playstation, N64, SNES & NES & my sons always end up going back to SONIC / HALO / grand theft auto / 007 / streetfighter 11 / duckhunt. & no i do have other games for these systems but can garantee these get left out the most for each relevent system, yes the nes is a pain in the arse to get the games to play.
I was a Genesis/Mega Drive nut back in the day. Some of my fondest gaming experieces as a kid were with Sonic the Hedgehog, especially the first time I bet Sonic 3 and Knuckles with all fourteen emeralds.
The system initially outsold the SNES actually, but of course the SNES quickly caught up. The 16-bit era war was a really vicious one, just as bad as the three way console war is today.
i've still got one, but i haven't played it for a while. road rash 2 was awesome, fifa international soccer was good but didn't last me too long (used EA All Stars) and the replayability of streets of rage was excellent. my brother finished it but i got killed about level 7 or 8. crue ball wasn't easy either!
I still own my legendary Megadrive. I didn't like games like Echo the Dolphin, I was more of a Sonic, Road Rage 2, Streets of Rage, Black Belt and Choplifter man.(I think you needed an adapter to play the last two on the Sega)
I don't want to get rid of my Megadrive, I once asked at a video game shop how much I would get for one if I handed it in, they said £10. I said something nasty and left...

Yep, I have the original Sega Genesis, or what can be called the Mega Drive. It's the first Genesis model out of the three. The next one was another stationary Genesis. The only major differences is that the cartridge slot is in the middle rather than the side, and it can hook up to the Sega CD. The third version is the rarest, called the Sega Nomad. It's a sweet portable version of the Genesis that plays Genesis cartridges, and if I'm correct, is the first color portable system ever made. Look here for more info: Sega Nomad
Thinking back to what i think may be before tetris is the game Columns does anyone remember this game you could eventually go up levels but it was very difficult, i think i remember someone getting to level 89 of which is like ultra.

The Megadrive has one of the largest and greatest selection of classic games of any console. Ever. Anyone who disagrees with this knows jack about games. Period.

The Mega Drive was awesome in it’s time. I was really into Sonic.
