Well, if you picked up all of those Final Fantasy games...you should have picked up Final Fantasy 7! It is this best of them all! of course, that is arguable...but, a lot of people tend to agree! If you don't have it, GO GET IT!!

I have FF7 for my PC, actually. It's an excellent game, but it needs a patch on Windows XP or it crashes at a certain scene. It's one of my favorite games, though, and I might consider picking up the PS version someday if I have extra time and cash.

ohh, i see... i haven't beaten it either, on PS, cause my nephew busted it.. I always worked more on trying to get my characters limit breaks, HP and MP levels, and experiences up as high as possible... that means that i did a lot of battles..they got boring in a lot of parts, because i'd be fighting the same (weak) mosters...hence the reason why i never got to finish it, before my nephew broke it.. If i would've just played through the game, i would've been done long before!
Oh well..what can you do?!
(buy a new system, lol)

II for SNES (IV in Japan) or II for NES (Japanese)?
I'm currently played IV on my Playstation, where it was rereleased in combination with Chrono Trigger (another excellent game) in Final Fantasy Chronicles.
It's a pretty good game, but not as good as most of the other FFs I've played. It's a great series.

Do you really need FFChronicles? You have both games already for SNES. I wish I had an SNES.... Earthbound is awesome.
I'm definitely looking forward to Xenogears, which I have but have not played. First I must play through FF4-6, 9, and Tactics, as well as Chrono Cross. Right now I'm almost done with FF4. (About time, too. It hasn't aged well, IMO)
Since you seem to have extensive knowledge of the subeject, what other RPGs to you recommend, and what are you other favorites?

I want FFChronicles because I want any good RPG for both systems.
ie, Ogre Battle I have for both also.
I may be buying a Dreamcast/Saturn and getting the few great RPGs on there but that would be in a long while.
To answer your question game I suggest are Ogre Battle (PSX > SNES by a bit), Xenogears, Valkyrie Profile (about $100 US on eBay...), Tales of Destiny, Suikoden 1 & 2, Star Ocean, and Chrono Cross. All of the list is good really, minus Dragon Valor, Kartia, Hoshigami (it is FFT but around 100 times harder...), and Shadow Madness. Also, for SNES I would suggest Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Lufia 1 & 2, and Breath of Fire 1 & 2.
Just download the ROMs for SNES games.

I have found ROMs to be often less entertaining on ROM than they would be on the console. It varies, I guess. Earthbound was amazing, while SMRPG clearly suffered from the keyboard controls.
I'll look into Ogre Battle. If I ever saw either Suikoden at a good price I'd get it, those games are rare as hell. I saw Valkyrie Profile for $40 at EB a few months ago... should have picked it up!! Already have Xenogears, CC, and SO2.
SO2 is the only one I've played yet... it was fun, but the story wasn't too great, and the gameplay got old for me.
I also ought to check out the Lufia's and BoF's.
