Playstation One is my favorite console. Mainly, due to the wide selection of games and dual shock controller. This is the system that really got me involved in video games. If you love the PS1 like i do, and want to talk about the console or games, here is the place to do it.

tomb raider2
Sorry to hear your MGS discs are not working. If your like me and need to own this game, i recommend ebay. That's where i got mine. MGS is definitely one of my favorites. The atmosphere and gameplay are perfect. They really took advantage of the PS1's capabilities.
Tomb Raider is also a great choice. So many wonderful environments to explore and the gameplay is tight.
My other favorites and basically all the PS1 games i own are:
Resident Evil Resident Evil 2 Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Twisted Metal 2 Silent Hill Forsaken Planet of the Apes Galerians Colony Wars Colony Wars: Vengeance Colony Wars 3: Red Sun Driver Driver 2 Jet Moto Jet Moto 2 Dino Crisis Dino Crisis 2 Overblood Warhawk Gran Turismo Gran Turismo 2

How well do the driver games age, after playing more advanced sandbox games(i mean the new drivers & gtas) on the other consoles? Is it the missions that make them a favourite?

It's the driving physics that keep me coming back for more. I like the way the cars handle and the controls. I also like the traffic and the way cars get damaged. I find the PS1 versions just as fun as the PS2 versions.

The only final fantasys i've played are 9 & 10(ps2). Both times I'd seemed to have stopped playing right before the end. I've just never had the patience to finish them.
I'm currently playing the revised version of ff tactics for psp, so i'm having alot of fun with that.
Anyone else played these rpgs, Jade Cocoon or Koudelka?

I so need to go back and finish this game. I got hooked on the stupid card game right at the beginning and wasted so much time on playing cards in the school that I just moved on to other games after a while.

The card game is fantastic until you end up stuck with the 'random' rule and then you despise it, and end up refining all your cards for the final disc.

God I hated the random rule, I tried so hard to avoid it. Last time I played VIII, I almost got every card, I only missed like 2 rare cards, and I was so pissed.

Does anyone remember "Jet Moto"? Hover bike racing at it's best. The riding physics give the bikes an instinctive feel. The programmers gave this game a challenging A.I. The environments are well done. "Jet Moto 2" is also very good. I recommend these games to any racing fan for an interesting racing experience.
"Jet Moto 3" was done by a different programming team and did not turn out so good. I don't recommend this one.

"Overblood" is a survival horror, adventure, and sci-fi game. Your character wakes up from cryogenic sleep in a deserted lab. You have no memory of who you are and why you are there. You take the role of this Character to solve the mystery about the place and himself. If this sounds interesting to you, i recommend you pick up a copy. This game is some what rare and hard to find.
