I thought that this movie was brilliant. It is definately the most amazing film I have seen this year. I cant really explain why I liked it so much. Could people please contribute to why they liked it, or just anything about it that they feel like talking about.

I've seen Adaptation and I agree as to its similar creative style. Other movies that have affected me in a similar way include: Steppenwolf 1974 The Truman Show 1998 Being John Malkovich 2000 Brazil 1985 Mulholland Drive 2002 |

If you liked this one, let me strongly suggest the Kauffmans' "Adaptation." Very strange, very "meta." Altogether a wonderful experience. It helps if you've read the book "The Orchid Thief," but I don't think it's necessary.

I honestly hated it, but I agree that it was probably Jim Carrey's best performance.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that it's my all-time favorite movie. Great cast, great screenplay, good direction as far as I can tell, and I loved the cinematography.
Plus it introduced me to Charlie Kaufman, now by far my favorite screenwriter. |

Charlie Kaufman is the most talented and creative screenwriter out there right now. He took a "true love conquers all" theme and made it fun.
