Has anyone listened to their new album "Venus on Earth". I thought it was decent, and the whole Cambodian pop meets rock concept was pretty interesting.

Great album, and I really enjoyed Chhom Nimol's vocals, whether in Khmer or English. Especially love the duet "Tiger Phone Card", the ultra-sexy "Woman in Her Shoes" and dig that crazy surf guitar in "Oceans of Venus" (there's a subtle smidgen of surf guitar scattered throughout the album). All in all a very fun disc.

I saw them on Amazon, and downloaded some of their stuff. I like Escape from Dragon House a lot better than Venus on Earth though..."Sleepwalking Through the Mekong" and "One Thousand Tears of a Tarantula" are my fave tracks so far.

Being Khmer myself, I had to pick this up. I feel embarrassed listening to it in the house since I barely know any of the language,,,
